Kelly teaches Pilates programs designed specifically for new and not-so-new moms. You will find your waist, feel your abs and firm up all of your soft spots by participating in this Pilates program that is made for your body whether you are 4 weeks, 6 months or 2+ years post-partum. You will be stronger, improve your posture and feel energized.
Our Postpartum program use the stability ball and Pilates exercises to guide the postpartum woman through a series of exercises that close the abdominals, realign the spine and rehabilitate the pelvic floor. The aim of the program is to gently rebuild the body’s strength from the inside out, healing from the trauma of birth. Diastasis-recti and separation of the pubic bone are addressed, and techniques are given on how to heal them.
Through Pilates based exercises, Kelly will help correct postpartum imbalances and get you back to your pre-pregnancy shape & fitness level. We will be exploring how to develop pelvic stability through movement, understanding your postpartum body, as well as having FUN ! ! All the exercises taught are designed to be especially kind to your worn joints. The stretching and deep breathing that are part of each exercise also help combat the day to day stresses that accompany parenthood.

"Pilates in the Park" is a mat class held in the lovely shaded park of Garrett Hill. I included this class in last year's program and it was really nice to move and breathe outdoors. As always, 4th trimester babies are welcome to stay close to Mom during sessions. This class will be challenging for all levels. With Belly's Pilates based mat exercises, whether you are 3 wks or 3 yrs postpartum, this class will realign, strengthen & help rediscover your core. "Healing exercises for diastisis" will be featured to help firm up weak abdominal muscles. Although this class can be a real workout, we always include a good relaxing stretch at the end so you can leave feeling refreshed and ready to start your day! Please bring a mat and bottle of water.
* Childcare available to every mom on a first come/first serve basis. Space limited, so please register via em 24 hrs prior to class. Registration is required for childcare ONLY. Drop-ins are always welcome. NO class 6/18
* As with any fitness program, you should always check with your Healthcare Provider before beginning Pilates-training, he or she will know if you have any special physical needs, conditions, or injuries that might prohibit you from learning and practicing the Pilates exercises.
